IELTS Listening Band Score:

In fact, Band score calculation in IELTS Listening is similar to that of the Reading section. Well, you should answer 40 questions in which each correct answer carries 1 mark.

Overall IELTS Band Score Conversion:

The overall band score in IELTS is simply the average of the 4 individual band scores. And, the result is rounded to its nearest whole/half band and reported.

Note: If the average of the 4 component band scores ends at .25, then the band score is rounded to the next half band and delivered. If the average ends at .75, then the band score is rounded to the next whole band.

Likewise, if the average ends below .25 or .75, the band score will be rounded down.
